Our Deepest Gratitude

Additionally, this project is supported in part by the generosity of numerous private donors.

Grandma Aggie loved to say, “We are all in this leaky canoe together… Thank you for helping to ‘ripple out’ these ancient teachings to future generations.”
~ Agnes Baker Pilgrim, Takelma elder

To all of you who have offered your generous support, our deepest gratitude.

Even pre-launch, Upriver to Morning presentations have received numerous community invitations for audiences ranging in age from kindergarteners to seniors. Feedback is consistently positive and enthusiastic. In addition to beta testing her program in several school classrooms, author Tish McFadden has also presented to outdoor schools, historical societies, libraries, retirement residences, the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy, and on film and television.

Because Upriver to Morning is culturally and environmentally timely, and a first of its kind, it has also drawn interest among a wide range of professionals – from educators and editors to artists and filmmakers – all stepping up to offer critical skills, input, and expertise.

From the start, this project has had the endorsement and approval of Tish’s collaborator, Takelma elder, Agnes Baker Pilgrim. After her passing in 2019, Grandma Aggie’s next generations continue to honor her mother’s enthusiastic support for this project.

Community engagement for Upriver to Morning is further demonstrated by its strong financial support. To contribute to this unique and timely project and make a secure tax-deductible donation, click here:
